- High School Diploma - The Alberta High School Diploma Requirements
- Academics - An important aspect of The Tech Prep Credential is the focus on using strategies in the classroom to emphasize the relevancy of the curriculum in the students' personal and work lives. A balance of "head skills" and "hand skills" learning is developed.
- Career & Technology Studies - The CTS curriculum was designed to improve the access, relevance and credibility of existing educational programs. Students in CTS are encouraged to begin serious exploration of their career options.
- Career Portfolios - The purpose of this portfolio is to assist students with career planning and to accentuate the importance of developing employability skills that employers are looking for in employees.
- Off Campus Education - The Tech Prep Credential offers worksite learning experiences, which helps students explore employment options and make career choices.
- Career Development - Tech Prep Credential students in Central Alberta receive comprehensive career guidance and planning. Students can choose from four broad career clusters: Technology and Natural Resources, Business Services, Human Services, and the Arts.
- Articulation - Articulation is the process that links two (or more) educational systems within a community to assist students make a smooth transition from one educational level to another without experiencing delays, duplication of courses or loss of credit.

- Support by Business & Industry - Business and industry partners involve themselves through advisory roles, as classroom resource personnel, and by providing worksite learning placements for students.
